Growing up and working on a farm in far north Queensland, Brisbane and the world of entertainment and grand architectural accomplishments seemed a million worlds away. But my dream has always been to work in the Architecture and Entertainment industries. Bringing my own unique flair for creating spaces and worlds within these areas of the built environment into reality.
As a recent graduate from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Architectural Design. I love the constant challenge that a career in design brings and am always interested in solving problems to create amazing and unique solutions.
I knew I wanted a career in design when I visited the Studio Ghibli museum in Tokyo Japan in 2009. I fell in love with how a building could make people feel, and how the films they created there brought so much joy to people’s lives. I knew then that I wanted to create my own worlds and spaces and bring my own personality to making designs come to life.
My mum says that she knew I would be a designer when I used to draw floor plans on the beach.
